Deadline Extended to December 20
We’re excited to announce that the call for speakers is officially open for the 12th annual Data Summit conference, to be held in Boston, May 14-15, 2025, with pre-conference workshops on May 13.
Right now, organizations both big and small are laser focused on streamlining processes, reducing costs, and improving decision-making to gain a competitive edge. The shift to cloud-based solutions continues to grow alongside the demand for more scalable, flexible, and cost-effective approaches to data management. Ultimately, how data is ingested, stored, processed, integrated, and analyzed needs to evolve for organizations to transform into agile, data-driven operations. While every organization is at a different stage of its modernization journey right now, there are many shared challenges and opportunities to close the gap between goals and execution.
When we recently asked our audience about the top priorities for their data management programs, data quality, data governance, and data integration came up repeatedly. After all, whether you’re focused on expanding self-service analytics or developing robust AI capabilities, it all starts with the data. Fast access to reliable, actionable data is critical to the success of modern businesses. New advancements in data management such as active metadata, data catalogs, and data observability are helping to close gaps in these areas.
This is also why we continue to see an increase in the adoption of modern data architecture patterns such as cloud data warehouses, data lakes and data lake houses, data fabric, and data mesh. What these approaches all have in common is an attempt to solve the limitations of traditional data architecture by offering users greater flexibility, scalability, and agility. The database landscape is flush with new features and offerings for the same reasons. From vector and graph databases to real-time and time series databases, an ever-expanding list of solutions is available to help architects, engineers, and developers achieve their goals.
Finally, it’s no secret that enterprises are currently accelerating their AI plans. GenAI applications built on top of large language models have emerged as powerful tools for automating and optimizing a wide variety of tasks. At the same time, the checklist of requirements to build enterprise-ready applications can be daunting for IT and business leaders. Security and privacy, scalability and performance, integration with other systems, model accuracy, and cost management are all top issues.
Our team is looking forward to sharing knowledge, expertise, and real-world insights about the new technologies and strategies paving the way forward at the Data Summit conference in 2025. Data Summit and its co-located events, AI & Machine Learning Summit, Generative AI Bootcamp, and Data Engineer Bootcamp, will focus on both the business and technical aspects of emerging technologies and best practices
We are looking for dynamic speakers who can impress our well-informed and tech-savvy audience with insights and expertise on key technologies and strategies that work in the real world. We want speakers who can spark discussion and introduce new ideas. We would like a mix of formal presentations and interactive panel participation. Case studies that demonstrate practical uses are particularly welcome. We also invite submissions for teaching half-day workshops. Feel free to suggest something different from a normal conference presentation—we like creativity!
The conference will revolve around these major themes:
