SAP and BI provider Birst have formed a partnership to provide analytics in the cloud on the SAP HANA Cloud Platform. This collaboration intends to bring together the next-generation cloud platform from SAP with Birst's two-tier data architecture to provide instant access to an organization's data and help eliminate BI wait time.
SolarWinds Database Performance Analyzer 9.0 (formerly Confio Ignite) provides database administrators and their IT teams with visibility across the application stack, and now covers storage resources, in addition to database, server, and virtualization resources, to speed identification of application performance bottlenecks and improve end user experience.
At SAP TechEd & d-code, SAP announced new innovations for the latest release of SAP HANA, the fall update of SAP HANA Cloud Platform, and a new SAP API Management technology.
SAP SE has announced the SAP Cloud for Planning solution, an enterprise performance management (EPM) solution designed around user experience and built for the cloud. The SAP Cloud for Planning solution will be built natively on SAP HANA Cloud Platform, the in-memory platform-as-a-service (PaaS) from SAP.
Worksoft has introduced an enhanced version of Certify Execution Manager, an offering in support of SAP solutions that will allow business users to perform daily business process validation across the enterprise. Worksoft, an SAP partner, is a provider of business process validation software for packaged enterprise applications. Scheduled to be available in the fourth quarter of 2014, the enhanced solution will provide a faster, more seamless and user-friendly automated business process validation solution for thousands of entities, enabling around-the-clock coverage and support.

ISUG-TECH has issued the call for papers for its 2015 North American conference which will be held March 29-April 2 at the Hilton Downtown Atlanta. Submissions are currently being accepted from DBAs, developers, end users, and SAP employees. If your presentation is selected you'll earn complimentary entrance to the conference!
Pre-registration for the ISUG-TECH 2015 conference ends Friday, October 31. There is no cost to pre-register and, in return for doing so, ISUG-TECH is extending a $200 discount which can be applied to the attendee's actual registration fee later this year.
