As part of multi-year strategic initiative with Oracle, Accenture has created a set of solutions incorporating Oracle Engineered Systems into its data center transformation consulting and outsourcing services.
Oracle has rolled out the new StorageTek T10000D tape drive. With 54% more capacity per cartridge over the previous generation, up to 8.5 TB of native capacity per cartridge and native data rates of 252 MB/sec, Oracle says the StorageTek T10000D tape drive can help customers reduce acquisition costs for data center backup by 35%. Deployed in the Oracle StorageTek SL8500 tape library system, the StorageTek T10000D enables customers to scale in excess of 68 exabytes of capacity under a single point of management.
Expanding its cost management solutions, Oracle has announced the general availability of a new suite of Oracle In-Memory Applications for the Oracle E-Business Suite. The new Oracle In-Memory Cost Management application is designed to deliver near real-time insight into cost management, to help organizations to maximize gross margins and profits and improve product cost structures by optimizing component costs.
