Oracle has signed an agreement to acquire Front Porch Digital, a Lafayette, Colorado-based provider of content storage management solutions that help companies migrate, manage and monetize large-scale media assets. According to John Fowler, executive vice president of Oracle Systems, Front Porch Digital's capabilities complement Oracle's existing engineered storage solutions.
At Oracle OpenWorld 2014, Oracle executives, customers, and partners will participate in keynote presentations that examine how modern technologies such as cloud computing, big data, and engineered systems are having an impact on businesses globally and supporting innovation. The conference runs September 28 through October 2 at San Francisco's Moscone Center.
