Oracle has announced the addition of 13 more Always Free services to Oracle Cloud Free Tier, enabling developers and operators to learn, try out, and deploy workloads on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Oracle is providing tools, solutions, and support to fuel Arm-based application development. Oracle also announced that its first Arm-based compute offering, OCI Ampere A1 Compute, is available on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). "We see increasing demand for server-side Arm computing and adding Arm-based compute instances to our extensive portfolio of offerings enables customers to pick and choose the right processors for their workloads," said Clay Magouyrk, executive vice president, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Oracle and Canonical, the publisher of Ubuntu, have announced Ubuntu support for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Ampere A1 Compute. Combining the benefits of Ubuntu, a popular cloud operating system, with the performance of Oracle's new offering, the companies say, enterprises can now run traditional workloads in a cost-optimized fashion.
