Catalogic Software, a provider of software-defined copy data management (CDM), has released ECX 2.4, the newest version of its software platform that adds Oracle and SQL application-aware integration, support for EMC Unity storage, native support for Amazon Web Services (AWS) and deepening integration with popular DevOps tools.
Oracle has unveiled two new models of its Oracle Database Appliance, addressing the needs of small and mid-sized businesses. "Many organizations do not have the time, resources or expertise to build their own system and often struggle managing different platforms and systems. By offering a pre-integrated solution that is optimized for the database and the cloud, Oracle allows organizations of all sizes to free up their IT staff from maintenance and other routine tasks to focus on innovation and core business processes." said Karen Sigman, VP, Converged Infrastructure, Oracle.
Oracle has rolled out new additions to the SPARC platform. Built on the new SPARC S7 microprocessor, the latest additions to the SPARC platform include new cloud services, engineered systems, and servers. With the new SPARC S7 products and services, Oracle is offering a full spectrum of SPARC offerings that go from public cloud offerings all the way to on-premise server offerings, and opening up new opportunities to customers in their path to cloud computing, said Marshall Choy, VP of Product Management at Oracle.
