Astadia has announced the Migration Factory to automate the assessment and transformation of mainframe applications and databases, with the goal of more rapidly moving these applications to any of the popular cloud platforms. The combination of Astadia's re-platforming and refactoring capabilities offers a complete mainframe migration roadmap.

To ease the cost and effort of cloud migration. Oracle has announced new Oracle Cloud Lift Services that give Oracle customers expanded access to technical tools and cloud engineering resources to quickly migrate workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). "Our customers want a seamless path to the cloud with the right guidance, solution architecture, and hands-on help we can provide," said Vinay Kumar, senior vice president, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Oracle has announced that it is launching the E4 platform based on third-generation AMD EPYC processors. The E4 platform includes both bare metal and flexible virtual machines (VMs). The announcement was made in an Oracle blog post by Rajan Panchapakesan, director of product management, OCI Compute.
