Vista Equity Partners, a global investment firm focused exclusively on enterprise software, data, and technology-enabled businesses, and Evergreen Coast Capital, an affiliate of Elliott Investment Management L.P., have entered into a deal to acquire Citrix in an all-cash transaction valued at $16.5 billion. Vista and Evergreen intend to combine Citrix and TIBCO Software, one of Vista's portfolio companies. The companies say this union will create one of the world's largest software providers, serving 400,000 customers, including 98% of the Fortune 500, with 100 million users in 100 countries.

Idera, Inc., parent company of global B2B software productivity brands, has acquired Yellowfin International Pty Ltd, provider of a next-generation embedded data analytics and business intelligence platform for augmented business users and developers. Yellowfin will join Idera's Developer Tools business.

NVIDIA announced that its AI Enterprise 1.1 is now generally available, bringing new updates including production support for containerized AI with the NVIDIA software on VMware vSphere with Tanzu, which was previously only available on a trial basis. Now, enterprises can run accelerated AI workloads on vSphere, running in both Kubernetes containers and virtual machines with NVIDIA AI Enterprise to support advanced AI development on mainstream IT infrastructure.

Rafay Systems, a platform provider for Kubernetes operations, is adding support for running both Virtual Machines (VMs) and containers on Kubernetes through its Kubernetes Operations Platform (KOP). "By allowing users to deploy VMs and containers on a fleet of Kubernetes clusters via a single pane of glass, Rafay eliminates the operational headache of managing them separately," said Mohan Atreya, SVP product and solutions at Rafay Systems.
