Introduced in a DBTA webinar, "Exploring Amazon DocumentDB Elastic Clusters," Vin Yu, senior technical product manager at AWS, highlighted DocumentDB's new elastic clusters feature which allows users to quickly scale and support massive read and writes workloads, all while mitigating cost and alleviating menial administrative labor.

Couchbase, Inc., the cloud database platform company, is announcing the availability of Couchbase Capella, the company's database-as-a-service (DBaaS) offering, on Azure.

Dremio, provider of an open data lakehouse platform, announced it is HIPAA compliant, reflecting the company's commitment to data security. Dremio also announced that it has renewed its SOC 2 Type II report, which now includes both Dremio Cloud and Dremio Software. Dremio meets the Information Security control requirements for a multitude of other compliance frameworks and certifications including ISO 270001 and GDPR.
