IBM Services has formed a $325-million agreement with Juniper Networks in which IBM will assist the network technology giant in managing its existing infrastructure, applications, and IT services to help reduce costs and enhance their journey to the cloud.
Application performance monitoring software provider Instana has introduced Unbounded Analytics in the latest release of its end user monitoring capabilities (Instana EUM), included with the Instana APM service. The new Instana EUM release captures user requests, provides filtering to find all page loads from specific user IDs, and enables detailed performance analysis of requests from the browser front end through the server-side back end.
MariaDB is releasing MariaDB Platform X3, an open source database that unites transactional and analytical workloads at scale, and introducing a new MariaDB Managed Service supporting public and hybrid cloud deployments. MariaDB Platform X3 brings together MariaDB TX and MariaDB AX in one platform that can uniquely scale out transactions or analytics to support business growth goals.
Red Hat shareholders voted to approve the acquisition by IBM, bringing it closer to closing in the second half of 2019. Commenting on the vote, Steve Robinson, GM of Red Hat Synergy, IBM, said: "Together, IBM and Red Hat will be strongly positioned to lead in hybrid cloud, addressing growing demand for companies to securely move their business applications to an open, multi-cloud environment."
