Hazelcast, a provider of an open source in-memory data grid (IMDG) has announced the general availability of Hazelcast IMDG 3.8, providing an improved operational experience for systems requiring maximum uptime. According to Hazelcast, with this release, the number of times the cluster must be shut down for maintenance has been dramatically reduced. Advanced data management capabilities have also been added for managing persistence and multi-data center deployments.
Informatica, a provider of data management solutions, has acquired Diaku, Ltd., a London-based provider of data governance solutions. Diaku's flagship application, Diaku Axon, now called "Informatica Axon," integrates with Informatica data management solutions for data quality, master data management, big data and cloud to form a unified data governance offering.
Looker, which provides a platform for data analytics and exploration, is expanding its international operations with the opening of its new European headquarters in Dublin, Ireland.
