Google has announced that all of its database storage products are generally available and covered by corresponding service level agreements (SLAs). With this announcement, the company says, Cloud SQL, Cloud Bigtable and Cloud Datastore are now generally available. It is also releasing new performance and security support for Google Compute Engine.
Nervana has announced its planned acquisition by Intel, a move it says indicates that Intel is formally committing to pushing the forefront of AI technologies. The company will continue to operate out of its San Diego headquarters. Terms of the deal were not disclosed by industry estimates placed it at more than $400 million.
Magnitude Software, a provider of enterprise information management software, has acquired Simba Technologies Inc., a provider of cross-platform standards-based data access solutions for relational, multi-dimensional, and non-relational data sources. Terms of the purchase were not disclosed.
