IBM has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Instana, an application performance monitoring and observability company. The aim is to help businesses better manage the complexity of modern applications that span the hybrid cloud landscape. Headquartered in Chicago, with a development center in Germany, Instana provides businesses with capabilities to manage the performance of complex and modern cloud-native applications no matter where they reside—on mobile devices, public and private clouds, and on-premise, including IBM Z.
As part of IBM's hybrid cloud growth strategy to drive digital transformation for clients, IBM has reached a definitive agreement to acquire TruQua Enterprises, LLC, an IT services and consulting SAP development partner that specializes in delivering finance and analytics solutions to Fortune 500 companies. The acquisition will bolster IBM Services' expertise in financial workflows with SAP and further strengthen the company's hybrid cloud growth agenda.
Rocket Software, a global software leader in IBM Z and IBM i modernization, has announced the acquisition of ConnectiQ mainframe Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and WebConnect mainframe terminal emulation from U.K.-based ActiveOps.
