Using active optical cables, the OSW-2400 switch enables connection distances up to 100 meters, enabling SAS fabrics to cover data center floor spaces up to 10,000 m2 (107,639 sq ft), connect between building floors, or extend to nearby buildings, increasing deployment flexibility and simplifying connectivity between servers and tape storage systems.
