AppFormix has integrated Intel Resource Director Technology (Intel RDT) into its performance monitoring platform, delivering performance improvements that address the "noisy neighbor" problem common to multi-tenant cloud environments. Intel RDT technology is available in the recently announced Intel Xeon processor E5-2600 v4 product family.
Dynatrace, a performance tools vendor, has formed a global partnership with HCL Technologies, an IT services company. HCL will leverage Dynatrace's digital performance management technologies within HCL's DryICE platform to deliver user experience and application monitoring to HCL customers
IBM says it is making it easier and faster for organizations to access and analyze data in-place on the IBM z Systems mainframe with a new z/OS Platform for Apache Spark. The platform enables Spark to run natively on the z/OS mainframe operating system.
Micro Focus, an enterprise infrastructure solutions provider, plans to acquire Serena Software, Inc., a provider of application lifecycle management software, in a transaction valued at $540 million. The acquisition is expected to close in early May 2016, subject to receipt of competition clearances in the U.S. and Germany.
