The year 2012 is closing, and it has been an active and stimulating year for data center managers. Never before have there been so many opportunities to play a direct role in building the business to compete in today's competitive, digitized economy. Data center managers now play major roles in supporting access for consumer mobile devices within the enterprise. Cloud computing is also opening up a vast array of new resources to enhance the operations and offerings of today's data centers. The increasing consolidation of data center assets also puts data center managers at the forefront of delivering enormous efficiencies and new ways of doing business.
