The latest burst of activity in the service-oriented architecture space is the rise of “microservices,” or more finely grained services that are supported by highly portable container environments. Proponents say these microservices are more flexible, as they provide more interchangeable components to processes and functions. However, rising adoption requires reworking the integration supporting previous services that have been built and deployed.
