Join CSC, Oracle and Professor Michael Goul of the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University for an interactive discussion, "The Intelligent Enterprise- How World Class Organizations Are Turning Insights into Action."
In its recent study, The Intelligent Enterprise: Creating a Culture of Speedy and Efficient Decision Making, the Economist Intelligence Unit assessed the hypothesis that "In virtually every industry today, success is driven by the ability of organizations to optimize business processes by making rapid, high-quality decisions based on the most timely, relevant and accurate business information".
The EIU's findings regarding the pace of decision-making and organizations' ability to use data to make efficient, fact-based decisions makes it clear that the goal of speedy, efficient decision-making is still aspirational for most institutions. While there is wide consensus that business performance is increasingly based on a firm's ability to generate insights - only 3% of the 200+ executives surveyed described themselves as "expert" in this area.
Professor Goul is an expert on decision making and market dynamics. He will provide insights on the survey findings and lead a discussion with our representatives from Oracle and CSC, the sponsors of the EIU research project, to highlight their perspectives on some of the key challenges and impediments firms face in achieving a culture of efficient decision-making. And, they will provide examples and insights on the best practices their customers are using today, to turn efficient decision-making into a competitive advantage.
