Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c is the latest in Oracle's management tool. This tool provides monitoring, management and performance tools that provide extensive insight into how your Oracle database is running and performing. This presentation provides a brief overview of OEM Cloud Control 12c as well as a tutorial on how to take advantage of two of the powerful performance monitoring and debugging tools; SQL Monitoring and ASH Analytics.

Database consolidation is an increasingly popular trend, both for improving resource utilization and for decreasing administrative overhead. DBAs can consolidate multiple databases on a common server or consolidate applications within a database using schema consolidation. In Oracle Database 12c, DBAs can also use the new multitenant capabilities to create Pluggable Databases within a Container Database. In this session, we will discuss the different consolidation options and learn how Resource Manager can manage CPU and I/O resource contention while maintaining efficient resource utilization.
