IOUG Oracle EM SIG Techcast: Managing Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c with Oracle Clusterware
Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014
12:00 p.m.- 1:00 p.m. CST
Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c provides a complete monitoring framework for applications, middleware, and infrastructure. Configuring it for high availability is recommended to ensure continuous monitoring. A level-2 HA configuration provides this ability while reducing costs. Such a configuration has multiple management service hosts with a shared file system. The management service can fail over to any available host. Oracle Clusterware is the glue that enables seamless failover of not only databases but also applications.
This presentation details the steps required to configure virtual host names and create an Oracle Clusterware resource for Oracle Enterprise Manager to provide seamless failover and improved high availability levels.
