Dr. Sara Mattingly-Jordan is an Assistant Professor in the Center for Public Administration & Policy at Virginia Tech. She works on areas of data ethics in both research and government areas. She is an active member of the IEEE Global Initiative for Ethically Aligned Design of Autonomous and Intelligent Systems and is the vice-Chair of the Society for Social Implications of Technology (SSIT) Standards Committee. Her research work appears in a range of research venues and B2B publications. She is presently working on two books: Preventing Loneliness, Ethical Blindness, and Anomie in the AI Era and Rogue Engineers (with B.A. Schuelke-Leech).
