greymatter.io Closes Series A Round to Expand Enterprise Microservices Platform

greymatter.io, an enterprise microservices platform provider based in Alexandria, Virginia, has closed a $7.1 million Series A round, led by Elsewhere Partners.  Greymatter.io provides a microservices platform, which includes service mesh and API management for enterprise-scale IT environments.

According to greymatter.io, its platform allows DevSecOps and NetSecOps teams to easily manage increasing complexity, secure application networking, and  have visibility across their IT environment. The platform offers cloud- and platform-agnostic solutions to uncover and relieve the issues affecting enterprises as their application networking, API security and IT operations evolve—including misconfigurations, unvetted configurations and unpatched vulnerabilities, data leaks, and failed audits.

The company says it will use the funding to expand the reach of its microservices platform in both the public and private sector by building out its team. In addition, it plans to accelerate its pipeline of platform enhancements, add support for open source community projects, and cultivate new partnerships in the areas of security and data mesh.

Timed with the investment, software industry executives Mike Kushin and Michele Perry, who is an Elsewhere Partners operating advisor, will join the board to help with the company’s market expansion and recruiting efforts.
