arcplan, a provider of business intelligence, dashboard, corporate performance and planning software solutions for desktop and mobile use, and Simba Technologies Inc., an expert on data connectivity, have announced a partnership that will connect Simba's MDX Provider for Oracle OLAP with arcplan 7 to simplify access to real-time business critical information and reduce IT costs and complexity. According to the companies, the partnership highlights their respective strengths, with arcplan as a leading integrated BI platform and Simba Technologies as a leader in standards-based relational and multi-dimensional data connectivity products. The offering will be available in mid-October with the latest version of arcplan Enterprise 7.
Simba's MDX Provider for Oracle OLAP enables users to make educated decisions by automatically feeding arcplan analysis applications with real-time data from the company's Oracle data warehouse. Using arcplan 7 as their BI solution allows Oracle customers to access large data volumes and perform quick, self-service analysis over the web or on any mobile device.
With the combined offering the vendors aim to allow business users to design their own dashboards, scorecards, and reports easily and deploy them as a web app securely, without depending on IT.
