Zumasys announced it has purchased the assets of PRO:MAN Software and Northwest Information Systems, Inc., two pioneering software companies founded in the 1980s.
Combined, the organizations have automated hundreds of companies across North America with PRO:MAN offering a flexible, affordable manufacturing/MRP solution and NISI providing a robust Inventory Management Accounting Control System for wholesale distributors.
By integrating business applications with the underlying database platforms it owns, Zumasys unlocks powerful new features that ultimately allow the applications to be offered in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), cloud-based computing model.
The founders of PRO:MAN and NIS—Mark Hogden and Mark Brady, respectively, joined the Zumasys team as Senior Developers along with their long-tenured teams.

As part of its post-acquisition strategy, PRO:MAN and NISI have implemented jBASE, Zumasys’ flagship NoSQL database.
jBASE comes bundled with MVConnect, which allows the applications to benefit from RESTful Services and API integration with countless modern applications including Avalara, ShipStation, SendGrid, Salesforce, NetSuite and Phocas Software. MVConnect allows developers to easily update application screens with rich Web-based interfaces.
Utilizing its two decades of experience as a Cloud provider and database platform company, Zumasys has transformed itself into an application provider and a thought leader within the MultiValue industry.
As part of this strategy Zumasys has acquired 5 Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) over the last 18 months and provides growth, capital, and development for their applications written in MultiValue (NoSQL) databases.
