Splice Machine, a provider of a Hadoop RDBMS designed for big data applications, has joined the Cloudera Connect Partner Program, after certifying on Cloudera 5, the latest version of Cloudera’s platform for big data. Through its partnership with Cloudera, Splice Machine will bring the power of a transactional real-time SQL-on-Hadoop RDBMS into the world’s largest ecosystem of enterprise Hadoop vendors and service providers, allowing more companies to build real-time applications.
The Cloudera Connect Partner Program has more than 800 global members, including system integrators, hardware vendors, ISVs in the data management and analytics space, and regional integrators. According to Splice Machine, its technology enables Cloudera users to tap into real-time updates with transactional integrity and standard ANSI SQL, which the company says are necessary features for organizations that are looking to become real-time, data-driven businesses.
Splice Machine has been working with its charter customers and private beta users over the last six months to validate use cases, test SQL coverage and benchmark performance. The company will be launching its public beta offering later this month.
“We look forward to a successful partnership with Cloudera, where we can work together to maximize the potential of its full suite of Hadoop-powered software and Splice Machine’s unique approach to real-time Hadoop,” said Monte Zweben, CEO and co-founder of Splice Machine, at the time of the announcement.
