Oracle announced that Polish healthcare provider the NU-MED Group, Belgian software provider Consono, and the Estonian IT Centre (RIT) have joined organizations across Europe in selecting Oracle EU Sovereign Cloud to help meet their data privacy and residency requirements.
By migrating their critical business systems and services to Oracle EU Sovereign Cloud, they will be able to take advantage of flexible, secure, and high-performance cloud computing resources while running their sensitive data from within the borders of the EU with support from EU-resident personnel, said Oracle.
The NU-MED Group, a leading radiotherapy, oncology, and cancer diagnostics provider in Poland, is migrating its central hospital information system (HIS) that manages its core business and operational systems to Oracle EU Sovereign Cloud.
With Oracle EU Sovereign Cloud, the NU-MED Group will be able to modernize and automate its HIS applications, including patient management, medical records, billing, HR, drug management, and procurement, as part of a multi-year digitalization program. In addition, Oracle EU Sovereign Cloud will help the NU-MED Group reduce operational costs, increase IT efficiency and sustainability, ensure patient data and infrastructure security, and meet data sovereignty requirements.
The Estonian IT Centre (RIT), which provides shared ICT services to the government of Estonia, is using Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer with EU Sovereign Operations to run critical central government operations. Deployed in RIT’s own datacenters in Estonia, Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer enables RIT to improve the scalability of government systems while supporting compliance with its data security and residency regulations. As an integral part of this sovereign solution, Exadata Cloud@Customer is managed by the Oracle EU Sovereign Cloud operations team, with support from EU-resident personnel, helping to ensure that sensitive citizen data is processed within the EU.
Consono, a data analytics software provider based in Belgium, is running a dedicated instance of its Dynizer analytics SaaS platform on Oracle EU Sovereign Cloud to support its customer Cevi, a provider of IT services for the Belgian public sector. Consono seamlessly deployed Dynizer to Oracle EU Sovereign Cloud with the same architecture and competencies used in its Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) commercial regions. The deployment enables Cevi to run document management analytics for New Social, its social services platform, entirely on the cloud while helping to ensure sensitive citizen data is processed and stored in alignment with EU and Belgian data residency regulations.
