A newly announced partnership between Scale Computing, supplier of edge computing, virtualization, and hyperconverged solutions, and Mako Networks, provider of secure, cloud-managed networks for distributed enterprises, promises advancements towards edge solutions and their capacity for intelligence, reliability, and simplicity.
Scale Computing and Mako Networks work jointly to deliver an edge infrastructure solution that is easy to deploy and ensures high availability for applications and networking. The solution is PCI DSS certified, based on SD-WAN, and supplies users with a complete, remote management system to accommodate the modern distributed enterprise edge.

Scale Computing assumes its role as the provider of an edge computing platform that is simplistic in its use, management, and deployment. SC//Platform replaces the existing infrastructure while providing high availability for running workloads within a sole platform designed for streamlined management, regardless of a user’s hardware requirements. The SC//Fleet Manager provides a central monitoring and management system to oversee large quantities of edge deployments without the costs of extensive on-site IT personnel.
Mako Networks provides the partnership with the Mako System, a comprehensive offering of both the Mako CMS hosted cloud management application and a variety of managed Mako networking devices. By being PCI-certified and based in SD-WAN business network infrastructure, Mako ensures secure, reliable, scalable, and cost-effective management and connection. Sensitive data is protected through cloud VPNs, VLAN segmentation, and next-gen firewalls, while seamless connectivity and business continuity is provided through high availability redundancy and failover options.
