SUSE and SAP’s partnership over the years continues to pay off, with the company recently teaming up with more than 500 SAP channel partners to deliver SAP Business One.
“This program has been very successful for the last six years,” said Dirk Oppenkowski, global alliance director, SAP, at SUSE.
SAP channel partners in the SUSE Partner Program have benefited from high-quality technical training on enterprise Linux, earning industry-recognized certifications.
Other program benefits include profit sharing through deal registration rebates and access to the SUSE Installation Wizard, a powerful automation tool that streamlines deployment of SAP Business One running on SAP HANA with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server.
The program benefits the Business One resellers, partners that sell and implement the solution at a customer site.
“Why should a customer pick the Business One version that runs on HANA and Linux?” Oppenkowski said. “It gives you the speeds and feeds of an in-memory database versus a disk based database which allows essentially almost new business processes to run compared to the old model.”
SAP channel partners use the SUSE Partner Portal to access installation tools, technical training, and pre-sales support.
Moving forward SUSE hopes to reach out to a small subset of Business One resellers to expand their own solutions for Kubernetes and more, according to Oppenkowski.
