SUSE has announced that as part of its ongoing alliance with SAP AG, SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension 11 Service Pack 2 is certified for integration with the SAP NetWeaver technology platform. The SAP certification scenario – called “SAP NetWeaver High Availability Cluster (NW-HA-CLU) 730” – establishes a reference architecture to help ensure compliant implementation of high-availability scenarios for running SAP solutions.
According to the companies, this reference combination helps customers reduce time to revenue by accelerating integration projects and easing implementation. In addition, the technical alignment of SUSE with SAP solutions through certification also improves reliability and supportability. And, finally, improved integration of SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension with the control framework of SAP solutions gives customers the flexibility to add new functionality.
The SAP Integration and CertificationCenter (SAP ICC) has certified SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension 11 SP2 via the NW-HA-CLU 730 integration scenario for the Linux x86_64 platform. SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension is included with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP2 for SAP Applications. The high-availability extension helps customers reduce unplanned downtime and further ensures continuous access to mission-critical applications and data. “We are delighted to announce yet another achievement for our customers using SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications,” says Fabian Herschel, SAP LinuxLab architect, SUSE. “SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension, now certified by SAP, builds on our strengths to help ensure continuous access for our customers running mission-critical SAP applications.”
