SHARE is introducing digital badges for technical session presenters selected by event attendees as the best in user, vendor, and IBM categories.
The first recipients of the digital badges were announced at SHARE Phoenix.
These digital badges, the first offered by SHARE, allow those presenters to immediately display a secure and verifiable digital badge on social networks, resumes, email signatures, and websites.
These third-party verifiable icons include information about SHARE, and the Best of the Best Session program.
“The SHARE community is familiar with digital badging that acknowledges the successful completion of technical certifications and similar educational accomplishments,” said Holden O’Neal, SHARE director of conference operations. “We are excited to use this same tool to recognize the speakers that our event attendees have selected as the very best at SHARE events.”
Inaugural recipients of the Best of the Best Session Winner badges include:
- Best User Session: Keith Sisson and Jason Shewbert, Receive Order Overview and User Experiences
- Best IBM Session: Andreas Bieswanger, IBM Dynamic Partition Manager Introduction and News
- Best Vendor Session: Peter Fandel and Jean-Philippe Linardon, Zowe UI - 21st Century z/OS: Introducing a Desktop UI/UX for Administrators and Developers
“SHARE Best of the Best Sessions are selected from more than 500 sessions presented throughout the week-long event based on attendee-submitted session evaluation data,” said Martha McConaghy, SHARE vice president. “The addition of this digital badge for the presenters of those sessions offers an additional way, outside of the event, to honor the contributions of presenters who have enriched the SHARE community with their expertise.”
