SAP and NetApp say they are tightening their collaboration with the goal of better supporting solutions such as SAP’s HANA platform and SAP’s NetWeaver Landscape Virtualization Management software. According to the companies, by complementing database solutions from SAP with NetApp storage and data management solutions, they can provide customers an agile data infrastructure for SAP applications that can help them be more competitive and reduce cost of ownership.
Citing results of their partnership, the companies point to the Cisco UCS with NetApp Storage solution for SAP HANA, which combines the Cisco Unified Computing System (Cisco UCS) with NetApp unified storage systems to improve management, scalability and enhance system availability.
The companies also say that Fujitsu and NetApp have collaborated for several years, with that relationship resulting advanced appliances for SAP HANA, and converged Infrastructure solutions including FlexFrame Orchestrator for SAP HANA and SAP workloads.
In addition, NetApp storage and data management solutions, including the Cisco and NetApp-developed FlexPod also complement SAP NetWeaver Landscape Virtualization Management in the automation of routine administration tasks; reduction of costs, hardware resources and power; and simplification of landscape management of SAP solutions.
