SAP is enhancing its enterprise information management portfolio with updated support and connectivity for big data sources, improved data stewardship and metadata management capabilities.
“We are introducing new innovations from the SAP enterprise information management portfolio that helps our customers deliver information excellence for their digital enterprise,” said Philip On, vice president, product marketing of SAP.
SAP Data Services offers extended big data support and connectivity for integrating and loading large and diverse data types. The latest version includes a patent-pending data extraction capability providing fast data transfer from Google BigQuery to any data processing systems such as Hadoop, SAP HANA Vora, SAP IQ, SAP HANA and other cloud storages. Other enhancements include the ability to leverage SPARK engine.
SAP Information Steward also adds new functionality in the latest version to speed data resolution issues with better usability, policy and workflow processes.
SAP Agile Data Preparation, focusing on the bridge between agile business data mash-ups and central corporate governance, improves the collaboration capabilities between business users and data stewards. The latest version Agile Data Preparation allows users to share, export, and import rules between different worksheets or between different data domains.
SAP HANA smart data integration and smart data quality, included in the latest release of the SAP HANA platform, provides new performance and connectivity functionality to enable faster, more robust real-time replication, bulk/batch data movement, data virtualization, and data quality through one common user interface.
And, finally, SAP Data Quality Management microservices is a new cloud based offering from SAP, available as a beta on SAP HANA Cloud Platform, developer edition. The pay-as-you-go cloud-based service helps ensure clean data by providing data validation and enrichment for addresses and geocodes within any application or environment.
