Rubrik, Inc., the Zero Trust Data Security Company, is unveiling a new partnership with Mandiant, a cyber defense provider which is now part of Google Cloud. This collaboration—which is shaped by three key pillars—serves to help enterprises quickly control their risk against diverse, rampant threats.
According to Mandiant’s M-Trends 2024 report, threat actors can go undetected within the victim’s environments for a median of 10 days—leaving ample time for a destructive attack, according to the company. This gap in time, paired with the possibility of backup infection, forces organizations into a reactive, vulnerable state.
With the goal of delivering proactive cyber resilience, Rubirk and Mandiant’s partnership offers three formative components that empower enterprises including integrating Mandiant Threat Intelligence with Rubrik’s Threat Monitoring Capability; the availability of Clean Room Recovery; and the merger of Rubrik Ransomware Response and Mandiant Incident Response Teams.
This partnership will integrate Mandiant Threat Intelligence with Rubrik’s Threat Monitoring Capability, enabling enterprises to identify and combat a variety of threats—including ransomware, malware, and malicious intrusions—before destructive activity occurs, at scale. Rubrik’s Threat Hunting and Threat Monitoring capabilities surfaces a safe recovery point through the application of Mandiant Threat Intelligence’s thousands of knowledge points from significant breaches against every Rubrik backup, according to the companies.
Rubrik and Mandiant’s collaboration enables Rubrik Clean Room Recovery to eliminate fears of backdoor infection by allowing customers to recover and store data in a clean Google Cloud environment or multi-cloud environment.
Finally, this partnership merges Rubrik and Mandiant’s respective Ransomware Response and Incident Response, affording enterprise teams additional investigation and recovery support. Rubrik’s Ransomware Response Team delivers insights and expertise in data recovery and backups, while Mandiant Incident Response expands the ways enterprises can respond to active breaches. This forwards a comprehensive, rapid response formula that empowers organizations to restore business operations as fast as possible during an attack, according to the companies.
