Rubrik, the enterprise helping organizations achieve business resilience against cyberattacks, malicious insiders, and operational disruptions, is announcing its upcoming security solution—Identity Resilience—that addresses a critical blind spot in enterprise security. Despite identity remaining a consistent attack target for threat actors, siloed solutions leave this attack point vulnerable. With Identity Resilience, Rubrik aims to secure the entire identity landscape alongside data, according to the company.
Identity Resilience recognizes the important role that identity threat management must play for modern security posture. By hacking identity systems, threat actors can gain access to crucial data and credentials that may ultimately prevent effective cyber recovery. To combat this, Rubrik’s Identity Resilience solution centralizes identity management, identity protection, and data security into one place, ensuring organizations are afforded a complete, comprehensive view of identity and data.
"Identity systems are not only complex and hard to manage, but they have also become the primary gateway for attackers aiming to access an organization's valuable data," said Mike Tornincasa, chief business officer at Rubrik. "Today, we signal our commitment to identity protection, to address our customers' needs by detecting threats that target identities and proactively reduce identity risks, just as we have successfully done with data security.”
Through the power of time-series data, Identity Resilience grants enterprises continuous visibility into identity changes, making any suspicious changes more easily detectable before any impact is made. Rubrik’s solution is poised to protect both human and non-human identities (NHIs)—such as machines using service accounts and access tokens—where the latter is often more complex to secure. With a unified view across identity providers, Identity Resilience enables enterprises to quickly identify risky accounts or privilege escalations, as well as track associated risks with particular identities.
Tying in greater context, Identity Resilience allows users to merge identity-based information with sensitive data context, privilege, and activity, helping to reduce remediation risk while improving risk posture prior to a cyberattack.
Additionally, Rubrik is introducing hybrid protection for Active Directory (AD) and Entra ID, enabling automated and orchestrated recovery workflows for restoring complex hybrid identity environments. Recovery is faster and executed with greater confidence, reducing complexity and time-to-recovery through an easy-to-use wizard.
