Rocket Software has launched its beta for the Python programming language on UniData. In a recent interview with DBTA, Vinnie Smith, managing director of R&D, Rocket U2 Lab, explained that last year the company had done an initial proof of concept with U2 support for Python, and based on that success proceeded to a beta offer.
The UniData beta will be followed by a UniVerse beta later this year.
According to Rocket, support for Python is important since it is a language with which many younger developers are familiar.
