As COVID-19 continues to make its way throughout the world, Rocket Software is offering users and partners a virtual way to continue getting acclimated to MultiValue tools and solutions.
“The idea behind this is how can we further connect with the community at a time when they're home to learn about MV,” said Vinnie Smith, managing director, R&D, Rocket Software.
Rocket has created a virtual series of deep tech training to connect the dots to new technologies so people understand how it relates to cloud, containers, and more. Dubbed MultiValue University, the virtual program includes demonstrations, seminar type training, interactive Q&A, and exercise examples.
“This is one of those things we threw out there,” Smith said. “We’ve done 8 so far and have had a good response. So far we’ve had over 1000 people interested and more than 700 attend.”
Rocket runs two sessions a day, one in morning and one evening so customers can take advantage of the program.
The company has about 20 more planned and upcoming, which takes detail planning including an internal brainstorm session, and soliciting customer feedback.
“We are going to come out with survey soon and see if there’s anything else they’d like to learn,” said Smith.
Rocket is planning to run the virtual lessons through summer and include a variety of topics such as containerization and how that technology relates to MV, REST, and how other integrations affect performance across all MV Platforms Rocket develops.
The company will add closed captioning to videos as well so in the future it’ll be easy to translate into other languages and assist in helping the hearing impaired.
“It’s a really great program and it’s been exciting to do something like this,” Smith said. “We’ve been told customers were yearning for this connection. It’s one of the most exciting things we’ve done recently.”
