Revelation is releasing a “Roll Up” patch to OpenInsight version 9.4 that will enhance debug functionalities and improve operations. This patch was made as a result of user reports and suggestions, said Mike Ruane, president and CEO of Revelation.
The OpenInsight 9.4 "Roll Up" Patch v6 includes all the patches and fixes from the previous "Roll Up" and "standalone" patches, as well as: A fix to POPUP to maintain sort order after search; Enhanced "debugger replacement" functionality, allowing for the option to "abort" to a previous entry in the call stack; A fix to the AREV32 debugger; Enhanced CTO/AREV32 window functionality, to allow for the setting of the number of "history" lines and a character translation/mapping routine; New RTI_LHSESSIONLIST call to retrieve the number of sessions from the Universal Driver; and A fix to UTF8.dll to prevent occasional "heapalloc" crashes during the getfileattributesex call.
This patch will contain a number of DLL files, as well as an OpenInsight deployment definition for use in OpenInsight 9.4.x systems.
This patch replaces the original "Roll Up" Patch v1 released on March 3, 2016, the second "Roll Up" Patch v2 released on March 8, 2016, the “Roll Up” Patch v3 released on June 13, 2017, the "Roll Up" Patch v4 (and v4_1) released on January 5, 2018, the "Roll Up" Patch v5 (and v5.1) released on December 13-20, 2018, the "Standalone" Patch v9.4.5 released May 4, 2020, and includes all the previous fixes for OpenInsight 9.4.
Work continues on the next version of OpenInsight, according to Ruane.
