Revefi Launches First Zero-Touch, Zero-Data-Access AI Data Engineer

Revefi, the company enabling businesses to maximize ROI on their data investments, is announcing the launch of Raden, the world’s first AI data engineer designed to complement traditional data engineers and enhance their overall efficacy. As the scope of the data engineer’s workload has significantly broadened, Raden offers “distinguished engineer” expertise as a comprehensive, zero-touch, zero-data-access AI solution that delivers automations across the entire data lifecycle.

“In the rapidly evolving landscape of data management and analytics, the role of the data engineer has undergone a significant transformation,” explained Sanjay Agrawal, CEO and co-founder of Revefi. “The demands of modern data ecosystems have expanded the scope of data engineering to include advanced responsibilities such as cloud infrastructure management, real-time data processing, [and] cost and multi-cloud optimization. Data engineers need to have ‘distinguished level’ expertise, but there are too few engineers with this expertise.”

To further compound these data engineering challenges, the hyper focus on AI and generative AI (GenAI) adoption has created a need for data engineers to be deeply aware of the nuances of cloud data warehouse architectures, optimizations, and their impact on spend—despite this being a rather rare occurrence, according to Agrawal.

The firefighting, remediation-centered mode of data engineering will not adequately support the latest technological initiatives. “Data engineers need a modern approach to address their expanding roles and drive business success,” stated Agrawal.

Enter Raden, Revefi’s AI-powered answer to the growing inefficiencies and challenges of modern data engineering. Designed to augment overloaded data teams by working as an autopilot and/or copilot, Raden helps to ensure high data quality, enhance operational performance and efficiency, manage data pipelines, and optimize data spend, according to Revefi.

Rapidly delivering value for data teams in as little as five minutes, Raden users can see a 50% reduction in data spend as well as 10x improvement in operational efficiency. Raden is equipped to handle complex data observability, data quality, FinOps, and DataOps use cases, empowering data engineers to move and solve issues quickly.

“Unlike legacy and niche tools that just focus on isolated parts of the data challenge, Raden empowers data teams to move quickly to solve complex problems related to data quality, data observability, performance, spend, and usage management,” said Agrawal. “Raden’s automation-first, zero-touch, no-data-access approach and GenAI and machine learning models enable data teams to be more strategic and deliver the right data at the right time at the right cost to businesses.”

Raden only requires metadata to provide quick results, ensuring that customer data is never shared, exposed, or leveraged for uses other than what is disclosed by Revefi. As an always available, cloud-native service, Raden runs on top of the Revefi platform, which is SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001:2022, and HIPAA certified.
