Quest Software, a systems management and security software provider, has announced general availability of SharePlex v9, the latest release of the company’s replication and real-time data integration solution.
According to Quest, with the rising popularity of modern relational databases such as MySQL and Postgres, and cloud database platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and AuroraDB, an increasing number of organizations are implementing hybrid database environments. The new release of SharePlex enhances Quest’s support for heterogeneous database environments by expanding platform coverage on both the source and target side.
With SharePlex v9, customers can leverage a single-solution to replicate data from both Oracle and SQL Server to more target databases both on-premises and in the cloud.
In addition to new support for Microsoft SQL Server as a replication source, new target databases available to users of SharePlex v9 include popular cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and AuroraDB.
