ProLion, a best-in-class proactive ransomware and data protection solution provider for ONTAP storage, is releasing ClusterLion for SAP on the AWS Marketplace.
For the first time, ProLion customers can take advantage of the productive and trusted AWS cloud platform, with streamlined deployment and management.
ProLion ClusterLion for SAP HANA delivers the highest availability for SAP HANA and SAP NetWeaver, developed to implement automatic takeover, and deliver Always-on availability for SAP HANA environments, according to the vendor.
ProLion monitors affected clusters and ensures automatic takeover for SAP Hana databases and SAP Netweaver application servers.
The solution also includes the potential for Automatic Takeover. If a failure is detected that requires a takeover, ClusterLion automatically switches to the replicated cluster without manual intervention or noticeable downtime.
“We are pleased to be able to make this announcement and deliver a High Availability solution to customers utilising Azure or AWS,” said Robert Graf, CEO, ProLion. “SAP is the backbone of many companies across several industries including manufacturing, retail, and transport & logistics. Many of these businesses run 24/7 and therefore require Always-On Availability. ClusterLion ensures productivity continues with zero system downtime within SAP HANA and Application environments.”
ClusterLion has Always-on Availability for SAP Services and removes the need for complex clustering. It provides completely infrastructure-independent monitoring which results in the most reliable decision-making, a lower total cost of ownership (TCO) and the highest availability.
ClusterLion means there is no need for a 3rd Data Centre or shared storage and associated maintenance costs.
ClusterLion for SAP is a cloud-based quorum that analyzes and correlates the status from both sides. If a failure is detected that requires a takeover, ClusterLion shuts down the primary side, establishes data consistency, and then initiates the takeover process.
