Clearlake & TA Associates-backed Precisely, a provider of data integrity software, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire PlaceIQ, a data and technology provider that powers marketing and business decisions with location-based consumer insights. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The acquisition of New York-based PlaceIQ expands the Precisely data integrity portfolio to include mobile location data while also providing customers with broader access to enterprise-wide data management solutions, including data governance, data enrichment, and additional location data attributes.
Syncsort announced in 2020 that it was rebranding as Precisely as a result of the company's acquisition of the Pitney Bowes software and data business. In 2021, Precisely was by Capital Group, L.P. (together with its affiliates, "Clearlake") and TA Associates and also announced a definitive agreement to acquire data integrity and governance software provider Infogix.
