Pervasive Software, a provider of data integration solutions, has introduced a new release of its flagship product, Pervasive Data Integrator v10, Cloud Edition. Running on the new Pervasive DataCloud2 Fall Release, the hosted integration platform offers a new browser-based design interface and cloud connectivity.
Lance Speck, senior director of sales and marketing for integration products at Pervasive Software, says he foresees "20 to 40%" adoption of Pervasive products among new customers via the cloud model within the next year. "Some verticals are moving faster than others to embrace the cloud, which is to be expected," he tells 5 Minute Briefing. "That said, CIOs who just 12 months ago were deeply hesitant are among the first considering proofs of concept with V10 Cloud Edition. It's an exciting transition point for the industry."
Pervasive DataCloud2 Fall Release provides enriched platform extensibility and performance monitoring, as well as multiple availability zones, queuing services, and a software development kit to enable partners and users to write new connectors. "The real difference is the ability to design on the cloud regardless of whether an endpoint is hosted or on-premises," Speck says. The new offering, he adds, is targeted to "people who want to collaborate on integration projects, and then schedule, monitor and manage their integrations from anywhere, including mobile devices."
Pervasive Data Integrator v10 on Pervasive DataCloud extends Pervasive's stack of offerings on the cloud, including Pervasive Data Profiler and Pervasive DataRush, providing greater speed, economics and scalability of cloud-based delivery, the vendor says. As part of the offering, Pervasive also announced unlimited connectivity, providing all users of Pervasive Data Integrator v10, Cloud Edition full access to Pervasive connectivity with no incremental per-connector fees.
