Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Gains Momentum


Oracle recently revealed that NCR, VRSG, Sascar, UL, and Asiana Airlines are among the latest customers using Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud. .

Customers and partners are gaining greater appreciation for the benefits of an integrated hardware and software solution that also offers high levels of application performance, rapid installation and flexible deployment, said Mohamad Afshar, vice president, Exalogic product management, Oracle. “We will continue our commitment to adding value to our customers by constantly innovating behind our best in-class engineered system while supporting OpenStack and other innovative technologies."

To date, hundreds of customers across 52 countries and 21 industries have adopted Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud to help reduce the cost and complexity of deploying, consolidating and virtualizing their enterprise applications, and a record number of partners have also adopted Exalogic.

Currently, more than 350 partner applications have been designated Oracle Exalogic Ready and more than 35 partner applications have achieved Oracle Exalogic Optimized status though the Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), signifying that they have developed, tested and tuned their applications on the platform and are leveraging Oracle Engineered Systems to better support joint customers.

In addition, nearly 70 partners have completed the newly released Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Specialization, which demonstrates their commitment to having skilled resources that can sell, implement and support solutions with Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud X4-2.

Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud is an integrated cloud machine, with hardware and software engineered together to provide high performance, reliability and scalability for Oracle, Java and other applications.

Oracle recently introduced Exalogic Elastic Cloud X4-2 which, compared to the previous release, provides higher throughput and coupled with Oracle Exabus technology, delivers near native response times for virtualized applications, resulting in greater consolidation benefits. Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud X4-2 hardware, powered by Intel Xeon processors, provides 50% more cores per node, large amounts of memory and significantly increased flash and disk storage capacity.
