To enable faster, more efficient decision-making, Oracle has introduced JD Edwards EnterpriseOne In-Memory Applications on Oracle Engineered Systems, Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud and Oracle Exadata Database Machine. New in-memory applications include JD Edwards EnterpriseOne In-Memory Project Portfolio Management and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne In-Memory Sales Advisor.

The new JD Edwards EnterpriseOne In-Memory Applications provide users with new functionality by delivering immediate availability to summarization and simulations leveraging massive sets of broad and near real-time transactional information to aid in decision making, process accuracy and control.
Utilizing DRAM, flash memory and the low latency InfiniBand network fabric of Oracle Engineered Systems, current JD Edwards EnterpriseOne processes such as Order-to-Cash, Financial Close, Job (Project) Status Inquiry and Materials Requirements Planning run approximately six times faster on Engineered Systems than applications on commodity hardware due to batch processing becoming real-time and shortened response time with improved UI rendering.
The JD Edwards EnterpriseOne In-Memory Project Portfolio Management helps executives and project managers make quicker decisions about their portfolio and projects by providing improved executive-level visibility into project portfolio cost and profitability. According to Oracle, the new release provides new functionality to report across the entire project portfolio; provides visibility into project financials with associated contract billings in one user interface; summarizes project portfolio (by region, sales rep, and project type); and quickly resolves issues with full access to project details.
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne In-Memory Sales Advisor enables proactive decision making, enhances the customer service representative and customer experience, drives revenue up-sell opportunities, and provides real-time visibility to line and order level historical and current profitability. The new release provides advantages such as insight into large volumes of data in sub-seconds; and leverages Oracle Engineered Systems technology of multi-threaded logic processing to read through the customer’s entire price schedule and display the applicable quantity level breaks in real-time.
