OmniOn Power announced the release of its RADIUS (Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service) Client module for its DC power systems, addressing the growing need for secure, remote access to data center infrastructure.
The addition of RADIUS Client modules to OmniOn’s power systems allows for the centralized management of access credentials and policies without the need to individually configure each system controller, according to the company.
RADIUS is a client-server protocol and software that enables remote access servers to communicate with a central server to authenticate dial-in users and authorize their access to the requested system or service.
It also provides authorization controls to determine what specific resources a user can access once connected, keeps detailed logs of every transaction for monitoring and compliance, supports strong encryption, integrates seamlessly with existing systems for providing enhanced security, and scales with growing networks.
OmniOn’s RADIUS Client modules measure approximately 4 square inches and can be mounted on the inside of a power system door next to the system controller.
The module is able to integrate with OmniOn’s Millennium 2, Pulsar Plus, and Pulsar Edge controllers and is available as a factory-installed option for new power systems and can be retrofitted into existing, deployed systems.
