Octopus Deploy Delivers Greater Visibility into Kubernetes Applications

Octopus Deploy, the provider that makes it easy to deliver software to Kubernetes, multi-cloud, on-prem infrastructure, and everywhere else, is debuting Kubernetes Live Object Status, a new capability bringing greater transparency for applications running on Kubernetes. Easing configuration management, deployment automation, and application troubleshooting, Kubernetes Live Object Status reflects Octopus Deploy’s commitment to setting the standard for Continuous Delivery (CD) to Kubernetes, according to the vendor.

Kubernetes Live Object Status delivers greater visibility into applications running on Kubernetes, bringing efficiency and ease to an often difficult environment.

“We see a lot of teams grappling with the complexity that comes with managing Kubernetes,” said Paul Stovell, CEO of Octopus Deploy. “With the addition of Kubernetes Live Object Status, these teams can use Octopus to easily manage deployments and troubleshooting, all in one place.”

Key to the announcement of Kubernetes Live Object Status is the fact that now, Octopus becomes a platform for both platform engineers and developers alike utilizing Kubernetes. For platform engineers, Kubernetes Live Object Status enables these personas to fully automate CD, manage configuration templates, and implement compliance, security, and audit best practices. For developers, this new capability makes Octopus a self-service platform that saves significant time by deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting applications in one place, with real-time visibility across all applications, environments, and clusters—without context switching.

"With Kubernetes Live Object Status, teams gain an always-on window into their applications, making it easier to detect issues, validate configuration health, and accelerate troubleshooting," said Colin Bowern, SVP product at Octopus Deploy.
