The Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG) has formed a new special interest group (SIG) to allow users to share information and best practices regarding Oracle Endeca modules, including Oracle Endeca Commerce, Oracle Endeca Information Discovery and Oracle E-Business Suite Extensions for Oracle Endeca. Oracle acquired Endeca, a provider of unstructured data management, web commerce and business intelligence solutions, in 2011.
Through the SIG, users have access to education and training programs and may provide feedback to Oracle by recommending product enhancements, influencing future versions of the software. The first meeting of the Endeca SIG will be held at Oracle OpenWorld 2013 on Sunday, September 22, at the MosconeCenter in San Francisco.
OAUG users can connect with the SIG through its website and a LinkedIn group. George Somogyi, associate IT director of corporate systems for the Newedge Group, and Kirby Lunger, principal at Performance Architects, will lead the Endeca SIG.

The OAUG is also offering members access to a virtual OAUG e-learning series featuring the most popular conference presentations from the COLLABORATE 13 – OAUG Forum. The Best of COLLABORATE 13 – OAUG Forum sessions will be presented live via webinar daily from August 19 to 30, and are meant for those who were unable to attend the conference or attended but want a refresher on some of the top presentations.
In addition, a public session on August 28 covers a range of options for personalizing and extending existing Oracle E-Business Suite Applications. “Personalize and Extend Oracle E-Business Suite Applications” is free for anyone in the greater Oracle users community. Space is limited, and advance registration is required.
