The Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG), the world's largest knowledgebase for Oracle Applications users, has formed the OAUG General Ledger (GL) Special Interest Group (SIG) to help users transition to Oracle E-Business Suite R12 by providing a communications and educational forum.
The SIG is focusing on addressing the GL changes in R12 but will evolve to address the broader function of reporting and the use of subledger accounting in managing the flow of data around GL in the near future.
The SIG will hold its inaugural meeting at Oracle OpenWorld 2009 on Sunday, Oct. 11, at 10-11 a.m. at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. The GL SIG meeting description is available on the Oracle OpenWorld 2009 content catalog. Search for session number S312689.
The OAUG GL SIG will hold quarterly web conference meetings and connect with the greater community via a dedicated LinkedIn group and the OAUG listserver. If interested in joining the new OAUG GL SIG, contact Mohan Dutt, project manager of Mountain View, Calif.-based Verisign Inc., at mdutt@verisign.com or Mohan Iyer, principal consultant at FSCP Solutions, at mohan@fscpsolutions.com.
