The Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG) has announced Alyssa Johnson as its 2014 president. Johnson has been an active member of the OAUG since 2003 and served as a member of the organization’s board of directors since 2011. She has also served on the OAUG’s Governance, Education and Marketing committees and as the board liaison to the OAUG Fusion Council. In 2012, Johnson was elected to the OAUG Executive Committee as the board secretary, and as such served as the chair of the Governance Committee.
Johnson, who was elected by the board in 2013, to serve as president-elect, is the first OAUG president to take part in a formal succession planning program. Johnson is also practice director at Alpharetta, Ga.-based Rolta Americas, which provides her the opportunity to interface with multiple clients in diverse business areas, assisting them with strategic IT planning and system design.
“As the president of the OAUG in 2014, I am focused on innovation, involvement and influence as a way to meet, anticipate and stay ahead of the things our members need,” said Johnson. “The OAUG will continue to maintain a strong focus on our core member benefits of education, networking and advocacy to Oracle but also acknowledge and embrace the fact that members, their environments and the way in which they can participate or consume benefits change and continue to evolve.”
