Mike Ruane, President and CEO, Revelation Software
At Revelation Software, we see data availability—whether for viewing, analytics, or updating—as one of the key challenges of 2015 and beyond. To address this, we’re making sure that we leverage the Open part of OpenInsight.
We have a variety of ways to allow our customers and vendors to make their data available to today’s users, whether they’re running a desktop system, coming in through a browser, or using a mobile device. Our connector technologies let us update different data sources, respond to data requests, or process data as needed. We make it as easy as possible for our users to access their data.
We also have made changes to the OpenInsight development tools themselves. When Revelation Software was founded more than 30 years ago, the concept of big data didn’t exist. We’ve grown with the rest of the industry, and managing thousands of tables and millions of records is par for the course nowadays, and we’ve made sure that OpenInsight version 10 makes these management tasks easy and convenient.
We don’t know what other challenges will arrive in 2015, or in the years ahead, but we’re confident that we’re going to keep our customers running on and with the current technologies, as we have done since 1982.
